Definitions

Throughout these terms: "you" and "user" mean the individual downloading or using the app. "we", "us", and "Symon" mean the individual developer operating under the name Symon at symonsays.run. "Service" means the Symon macOS desktop application and any associated backend APIs. "Content" means any text, audio, or data you process through the Service.

License to use the app

Subject to these terms and payment of any applicable subscription fees, Symon grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on macOS devices you own or control. This license is for personal or internal business use only. You may not sublicense, resell, or distribute the app or any component of it.

Subscription

Symon Pro is priced at $6.99 USD per month. Billing is handled by Stripe and begins on the date you activate a subscription inside the app. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice delivered by email to the address on your account.

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the account section inside the Symon app or via the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to Pro features until that date. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. There are no pro-rated refunds for partial billing periods.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app beyond what applicable law expressly permits
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service or any derived work
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with license verification, authentication, or any security feature
• Use the Service to process Content that you do not have the right to use or share
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Symon's backend systems

AI output disclaimer

Symon uses AI services (Apple SFSpeechRecognizer, Google Gemini) to process voice and screen content. AI output is inherently probabilistic and may contain errors. Symon makes no guarantee that transcriptions, AI responses, or text polish results are accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting AI-generated output before relying on it.

Warranty disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Symon expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Symon's total liability to you for any claims arising out of or related to the Service or these terms is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim. In no event will Symon be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Termination

Symon may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you breach these terms or fail to pay applicable fees. You may stop using the Service at any time by cancelling your subscription and uninstalling the app. Sections covering warranty disclaimer, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by updating the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, by sending an email to your account address. Continued use of the Service after the updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance.
